Duncan Lawrie Private Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Nigel Gautrey as Managing Director for Duncan Lawrie Private Bank in the Isle of Man. Nigel, who leaves his role as Banking Director, brings with him a wealth of relevant experience, as the bank reports significant growth in its private banking division.
Nigel’s career began in the early 1980s for Lloyds Bank, where he worked in a number of private client, branch and operational management roles before moving to the Isle of Man in 1995 to head up its personal banking offering for island residents. At Duncan Lawrie, he has been responsible for the Bank’s client relationship team, the overall delivery of its banking and lending related services to local residents and international clients and has also directed the bank’s fiduciary services company, Duncan Lawrie Offshore Services Limited.
Matthew Parden, Managing Director, Duncan Lawrie Private Bank, said:
“We are experiencing real growth on the Island and Nigel takes the helm at a very exciting time. We are highly committed to our local and international client base and to expanding our services over the long term. Nigel’s expertise, not only in banking, but also in working and living on the Isle of Man will be a huge asset.”
Nigel Gautrey, Managing Director at Duncan Lawrie Private Bank Isle of Man, commented:
“I am delighted and honoured to take on the role of Managing Director at Duncan Lawrie Private Bank in the Isle of Man. With the recent office expansion, the growth in private banking and further team appointments in the pipeline, Duncan Lawrie IOM is making exciting progress. We have gained a good reputation on the Island for our heritage of bespoke, client-led service and the latest developments serve to consolidate our position in the financial services market here.”
Nigel’s appointment takes place at the same time the bank bids farewell to Alan Molloy, who is leaving the Group after 18 years’ service. Alan brought to his role as Managing Director considerable experience in private banking and wealth management, with a passion both for developing the Group’s business, and for promoting “Isle of Man plc”.
Matthew Parden, Managing Director, Duncan Lawrie Private Bank says:
“During his long and successful tenure, Alan greatly assisted in the significant growth of the Group’s Isle of Man and international operations. We are pleased that Alan has agreed to facilitate the transition to a new management structure by remaining with the Group for a limited handover period.”
Alan leaves with good wishes for the future from the Duncan Lawrie Group, and appreciation for his 18 years’ valuable service.
