by isleofman.com 2nd November 2012

Archery GB have announced the GB Junior Rankings for 2012 and the Isle of Man Archery Club is proud to announce that the George sisters, Aalin and Kirsten have been ranked 1st and 2nd respectively in the Junior Ladies Compound Division.

Aalin continues her excellent form having competed in major competitions in the UK and Europe this year, and younger sister Kirsten is now also on the GB Junior Squad and hopefully will receive her first call-up soon.  These rankings show the hard work and dedication of the two girls, who are both receiving support from IOM Sport and regularly attend the Institute.  Aalin, who is coached by Peter Mumford,  was also recently ranked 17th in the Senior Ladies Compound rankings.  She was voted Young Archer of the Year by Archery GB and Isle of Man Sportswoman of the Year in 2012.  Aalin is also sponsored for her equipment by Tony Drabble of Custom Built Archery, one of the major archery outlets in the UK.

The two girls will compete in their next major competition on 1st December at the National Indoor Junior Championships to be held in Coventry.
