At the end of October unemployment stood at 1065, an unemployment rate of 2.4%.
During the month 321 signed on and 270 signed off, giving a rise of 51 in the total registered
unemployed. Of the total unemployed 752 are males and 313 are females.
A total of 545 vacancies were notified to the Job Centre during the month and at the end of the
month 280 positions were still vacant and held on file.
