Maintenance Work to begin at NSC Swimming Pool

by isleofman.com 15th November 2012
From Monday 19 November, the swimming pool at the National Sports Centre will close for up to 5 weeks for planned maintenance and improvement work.

Carl Glover, Centre Manager said: ‘We have world class swimming facilities that have been enjoyed by over two million customers in the 14 years since the NSC first opened. To keep the facilities at such a high standard, periodic maintenance is essential. We are also taking the chance to improve the flumes and when the pool reopens swimmers will enjoy faster and more exhilarating rides. It’s not just adults and older children that will benefit from the improvements though. The small ‘toddler’ slide in the leisure pool will be replaced with an exciting new slide and play equipment will be fitted to the beach pool area. There is something for everyone.’

Mr Glover added: ‘To minimise the disruption to customers, the work has been scheduled to take place during the NSC’s quietest period but will reopen better than ever in time for Christmas fun and New Year’s resolutions!’

Once complete the improvements will make swimming at the NSC an even better leisure experience.

It is anticipated that the pool hall will re-open around the weekend of the 22 December. All other NSC facilities are fully open.

The NSC is now taking bookings for the January Swimming Lesson Courses. Contact reception for more details.

Special Offer - If you are wanting to get fit in the new year, then you’ll be excited to know that the NSC is offering 50 % off Gym Inductions throughout December. Don’t miss out!
