Police are currently investigating the theft a purse from the glove box of a car parked in Bellevue Park, Peel.
Between 7:50pm and midnight on Thursday 15th November 2012 a car was left insecure on a private driveway. The car was secured apart from the driver’s door which remained unlocked. Persons have entered the vehicle and removed a ladies purse from within the glove box. It was a distinctive “Bagpuss” fluffy pink purse.
Police would urge anybody that has any information that would help identify the offender or the location of the purse to come forward at the earliest opportunity.
PC 242 Dentith would like to take this opportunity to remind the public to make sure that they lock their car doors even when parked on private property and to make sure their property is secure and out of sight so not to entice the opportunist into committing a crime.
