Leading yacht ownership and leasing specialist Abacus, has returned from a very successful week at the Global Superyacht Forum (‘GSF’) 2012, which they proudly sponsored.
The event which ran from 12th – 14th November in Amsterdam, brought together leaders in the Superyacht industry to discuss future topics which the Superyacht industry faces and to deliberate ideas for the future.
Representing Abacus at the event was Garry Crossan, Chief Executive Officer – Malta, Steven Hawkins, Business Development Manager and Barbara Jolly, Yacht and Aircraft Manager.
Mr Crossan said, “Although Abacus has attended the GSF for the past few years, this year, the decision was made to sponsor the leading event. The current climate makes for challenging times in the Superyacht industry and it is events such as the GSF that brings together leaders within this market to think and discuss the future of this industry.
The GSF has proved to be an invaluable platform for Abacus to meet with our network of partners in the industry and to meet potential new intermediaries and partners to discuss how we can move forward and help clients’ needs.”
Barbara Jolly said, “Abacus is committed to the Superyacht industry and we are continuing to develop and evolve our service offerings to meet the ever changing needs and focus of our clients. It is also important for us to be able to adapt our services to meet the changing economic and legislative challenges within the tax and superyacht environment. Meeting with our networking partners at events such as GSF allows us to acknowledge the problems which may arise in the future and adapt to meet this challenging environment.”
