Christmas lights switch on in Peel

On Saturday the 1st December will see the Peel Christmas lights being switched, on which will take place in Athol Place, at 4.30pm.

This year the lights will be switched on by some of the cast members from the Peel Pantoloons , this years Panto is Jack & the Beanstalk which runs from the 4th to 8th of December. We are looking forward to Jack, The Pantomime Cow and the Dame all making an appearance for the big switch on.

There will also be a visit from Father Christmas who will take an hour out of his busy schedule and come to Peel, where he will meet the children and just maybe have some goodies to hand out.

There is also a Christmas workshop at the House of Manannan from 11am till 4pm, children can make a Christmas lantern at this event and a lantern competition will take place at 3.45pm and a lantern parade to Athol Street from the House of Manannan at 4pm. To arrive in time for the big switch on.

Mr. Geoff Birkett will be selling hot chestnuts and Christmas chocolate apples from his stall in Athol Place with all monies going to Island Charities.

We might even have snow!

So come to Peel this Saturday 1st of December and enjoy all the fun for the big lights switch on, See you there, Ho Ho Ho
