Public Accounts Committee to hear evidence

The Public Accounts Committee, a Standing Committee of Tynwald, will be taking oral evidence in public next week on two topics. The first topic is ICT and in particular the Government’s use of consultants. The second is the handling of a case in which a member of medical staff was suspected of a criminal offence.

The witnesses appearing will be as follows:

2.30 pm               Mr Allan Paterson, retired former Director, Information Systems Division

3.30 pm               Mr David Killip, Chief Executive, Department of Health
                          and Mrs Barbara Scott, Hospital Manager

The evidence will be taken in public on Wednesday, 5th December 2012 in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road, Douglas. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

The Public Accounts Committee comprises Mr A L Cannan MHK (Chairman), Mr C G Corkish MHK (Vice Chairman), Mr D M W Butt MLC,  Mrs B J Cannell MHK, and Mr L I Singer MHK. As Members of the Department of Health, Mr Butt and Mr Singer are taking no part in the investigation concerning medical staff.
