Business success prompts new office and significant increase in staff numbers

by isleofman.com 4th December 2012

NFU Mutual, the UK’s leading Rural Insurer, is due to relocate its Tromode office in the Isle of Man in December 2012 to South Quay in Douglas prompted by continued success and significant team expansion.

Over the last few years, the friendly office team has multiplied in size in order to accommodate customer requirements in Tromode. The original team of four has successfully evolved into a robust team of 11 professionals who have each contributed significantly to the business’ financial growth.

David Wilkinson, recently appointed Senior Account Executive said: “Here at the Tromode office, together with a detailed knowledge of the local vicinity, we aim to provide professional insurance expertise for a range of products that is second to none. We particularly take pride in our quality Risk Management Service for anyone wishing to have health and safety advice and support.

“As a company, NFU Mutual understands the needs of those who live and work in the countryside and the new location will provide neighbouring residents with face-to-face contact for those all important queries, specifically regarding personal and commercial insurance products.”

Prior to working for NFU Mutual, David worked for 20 years in the finance sector on the island. Being the more recent member of the team, he is supported by colleagues Danielle Bradley and Justine Gaisford-Martin who, collectively, have strong attachments to the island.

Danielle joined the Mutual straight from Ballakermeen school, working her way through the ranks to become Account Executive. Justine worked for the family retail business on the island before joining NFU Mutual.

Talking about the future of the office, David continued: “Our ambitious growth plans will help to secure four more positions over the next three years, to help us continue to cater for the needs of customers on the Island.”

The brand new premises based in the heart of Douglas forms part of the picturesque harbour which is easily accessible from the town centre and provides ample parking. The central location invites customers to take advantage of the services available to them at a time which suits them.

From NFU Mutual’s office in Douglas, customers will find a relaxed and helpful environment where David, Danielle, Justine and the rest of the team offer a tailored service to suit individual needs including home visits.
