Steven Quayle, at Duncan Lawrie Private Bank in the Isle of Man, has been promoted to the position of Director of Finance, Risk and Compliance. The move is a natural progression for Steven, aged 30, who has worked at the bank on the Island as Financial Controller for four years. It makes Steven the youngest Duncan Lawrie Private Bank employee to achieve such a senior position.
Steven was born and bred on the Isle of Man, spending three years studying chemistry at Loughborough University. Upon graduating in 2003 with a first class honours degree (BSc), Steven joined KPMG where he worked within the audit department and qualified as an ACA Chartered Accountant. In 2007, Steven joined ECS International Limited (now Baker Tilly Isle of Man) as a client accountant before moving onto Duncan Lawrie Private Bank in 2008.
Nigel Gautrey, Managing Director at Duncan Lawrie Private Bank Isle of Man, said:
“Steven is a highly valued colleague at Duncan Lawrie Private Bank and a first rate professional when it comes to meeting our legal and regulatory responsibilities. At Duncan Lawrie, we are acutely aware of our obligations as the banking industry faces increased regulation, the fiscal environment tightens and our clients become ever more aware of the risks to their money and returns. Steven’s impressive career ascent is testament to his ability as this new role will be integral to the future success of Duncan Lawrie Private Bank.”
Steven Quayle, Director of Finance, Risk and Compliance at Duncan Lawrie Private Bank Isle of Man, commented:
“I am extremely excited to move into this role and take on the additional challenges it brings. I have had oversight of risk and compliance for the last two and a half years and feel that this has put me in good stead for the role. As someone who has grown up on the Island, it is a great privilege to work for a bank that truly looks after its clients and serves local, Isle of Man residents.”
