Beach Buddies at Perwick

by isleofman.com 3rd December 2012

Beach Buddies collected more than 30 bin bags of rubbish from the beach at Perwick Bay in the south of the Island yesterday.

Twenty-nine people turned up to volunteer for the latest 'Big Team' beach clean.

They were ably assisted by Port St Mary Lifeboat, which took the bags round to the village for disposal or recycling.

In six weeks of running “Big Team” events, volunteers have collected more than 250 bags of rubbish from beaches across the Island.

This coming Sunday the group will be heading to Peel.

Meet at 10.30am at the swing bridge if you want to help out.
