Commissioner slams 'abysmal' bus service withdrawal

It may not have many passengers, but there are people who rely on this bus route.

So says Robert Moughtin of Maughold Commissioners, in response to the news Maughold village is to lose its service.

He's described the withdrawal of the route as 'absolutely abysmal', particularly as the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure had not consulted the local authority beforehand.

Mr Moughtin first heard about it via Manx Radio.

He says it's not a done deal, as far as he's concerned:
