DoI warning to drivers

by isleofman.com 28th November 2012

The Department of Infrastructure has hit out at drivers who it says are targeting its workers when they're out on the Island's roads.

It says there have been recent cases of motorists deliberately driving at workers, in order to soak them in flood water.

Infrastructure Minister David Cretney says the way some people drive through road works and past DoI staff is really not acceptable.

He says the department will notify the police of any instances of such driving.

You're asked to slow down and be aware of the safety of roadworkers at all times, but especially during winter months when they are attending to problems, often in dark and very wet conditions, for your benefit.
