No plans to re-introduce government mortgages

There are no current plans for the re-introduction of government mortgages.

That's according to Treasury Minister Eddie Teare who was speaking in the House of Keys this morning in answer to a question from North Douglas MHK John Houghton.

However, Mr Teare said the Department of Social Care was currently undertaking a review of housing support, including assessing options which would help first time buyers purchase a home.
