Crown dependencies discuss FATCA

The Chief Minister has met his counterparts in the Channel Islands to discuss proposed financial regulations.

Allan Bell used the British Irish Council gathering in Cardiff yesterday (Monday) to touch base with officials from the two crown dependencies to dicsuss a mooted UK version of the United States Financial Transparency regulations.

Officers from all three jurisdictions will be in London tomorrow to talk to the UK Treasury.

Mr Bell says informal meetings with senior politicians are always useful.
