by isleofman.com 26th November 2012

A full investigation will be required to assess complications suffered by colorectal patients following recent surgery.

So says the manager of Noble's Hospital, Barbara Scott, who says four patients have been affected.

Elective colorectal procedures have been suspended at Noble's for the moment, although emergency ones will still be carried out.

Ms Scott says they will be done by the same surgeons (audio file attached):

Meanwhile, a public meeting on bowel cancer screening, organised by the Isle of Man Cancer Services Users Forum, will go ahead this evening (Monday).

It's being held at Douglas Golf Club in Pulrose at 7.30pm and is open to all.
