Classic TT entertainment to have 60s theme

by isleofman.com 26th November 2012

Next year's inaugural Classic TT will kick-off with a paddock carnival on August 23 when the clock will be turned back to yesteryear.

Collections of priceless racing motorcycles will be on display, historic race footage will be shown on a giant screen, chat shows with legendary riders will take place on a new stage area at the back of the Grandstand and there will be live music from the swinging 60s.

Family entertainment will be provided by vintage fairground rides and a Punch and Judy Show.

The return of an authentic 1960s Cocoa Tent will also feature - it was once a regular feature in the TT paddock.

On the track, there will be a special parade lap to celebrate the two-way battle in the 1967 Senior TT between Giacomo Agostini and Mike Hailwood with John McGuinness representing Hailwood on a replica of his bike.

TT and Motorsport Development Manager, Paul Phillips, says fans will be fascinated by all the bikes on display at the Grandstand:
