Winning start for Whites

Holders Corinthians launched their defence of the FloodlIt Cup on Sunday with a 4-0 win against Peel.

After a goalless first half, Kiera Morgan, Lauren Christian, Jenna McStay and Alsivarne McGregor were all on target in the Warehouse Fitness Gym sponsored competition.

In the remaining Group B match, DHSOB edged past Colby 3-2.

With the scores level at 1-1 at half-time, Maria Coulter, Hattie Castle and Rachael Christian netted for the Blackberry Lane side.

The southerners replied via strikes from Courtney Goldsmith and Chloe Swales.
