Website features interesting 'things'

by isleofman.com 23rd November 2012

A new website highlighting Viking parliaments is promising to bring treasure hunting tourists to the Island to explore our history.

Thingsites.com was set up by the Shetland Amenity Trust to provide information about Viking “things” in Norway, Scotland, the Isle of Man, Iceland and elsewhere.

It’s hoped the site will spark interest in the links between ancient heritage sites and provide information to would-be visitors.

Lauren Doughton says there’s also a chance to explore using geo-caching, a treasure hunt played using GPS coordinates.
