Corks pop for Douglas lottery winner

A plasterer from Pulrose who won half a million pounds on the Euromillions lottery says he'll be buying his own home for the first time - but won't be giving up work.

35-year old David Skillen and a friend buy lottery tickets together every week.

On Friday they came up trumps, when they matched the winning EuroMillions raffle code on their ticket to scoop the one million pound prize.

Dave had the number verified by lottery operator Camelot and today spoke to reporters at the Sefton hotel.

He revealed his winning streak is continuing; last night he won ?500 on a pub slot machine in Douglas!
