University funding decision next month

Education chiefs will reveal next month if there are to be any changes to university funding.

At the moment Island students have their university fees paid by the Department of Education.

However, South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft is concerned means testing could be introduced and yesterday asked for some assurances.

Education Minister Tim Crookall said to comment at this stage would only be speculative:
