by isleofman.com 17th November 2012

Douglas B moved top of the Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield with a 46-0 win over near neighbours Vagabonds B at Port-e-Chee.

Former Vagabond Simon Heggs, Paul Leivers, Kev Spicer and Liam King all crossed for Douglas and there was one conversion from Jack Moore, as they cruised to a 22-0 half-time lead.

In the second half, Leivers and Heggs both added their second tries and there were also tries from Carl Conroy and Jack Moore with Sam Peel kicking two conversions.

At the bottom end of the table, Emerging Nomads beat Ramsey B 18-12 at King Williams College.

Ramsey led early on with a Luke Robertson try, converted by Garry Vernon.

Nomads hit back with two tries from Andy Joughin, one from Casey Davies and a penalty from Mark Young to steal the game after Ramsey thought they had it won with a Vernon try.
