Awards salute Island businesses

The general manager of Island manufacturer Swagelok was named Business Person of the Year in the Awards for Excellence 2012.

David Hester oversees an operation which supplies products for the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries as well as local niche markets.

The Company of the Year title went to the Claremont Hotel in Douglas, that crown sponsored by Isle of Man Bank.

Isle of Man Post Office was named International Company of the Year, Celton Manx backing that award.

Other winners in the newspapers' annual awards at the Villa Marina were Microgaming for Corporate Social Responsibility and Intelligence, for Excellence in the Use of Technology.

The Island's Aircraft Registry won the Boston Award for Customer Service.
