Joint offer proving popular with short-break visitors

by isleofman.com 15th November 2012

A joint offer from the Sefton Group and Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, aimed at attracting short-break visitors to the Isle of Man, is proving a great success once again.

The holiday package is available until 25th March 2013 and offers visitors the opportunity to book a return foot passenger sea crossing with the Steam Packet Company and two nights’ bed and breakfast accommodation at the Best Western Palace Hotel & Casino – along with a three-course carvery meal in the hotel’s Paragon Restaurant on both evenings – all for just £115 per person.

The package, which was launched on 1st September, is a repeat of an offer held last year and has been promoted through an advertising campaign in the North West of England, featuring in publications such as the Liverpool Echo and Liverpool Evening Post.

Sefton Group Marketing Manager Naomi Finch commented: ‘The results of working with Steam Packet Holidays on this fantastic deal are plain to see, and we expect the success of the offer to continue right through to March. We’re delighted that so many people are taking up the offer to spend a few days here, as it is a timely boost both for the Island’s economy and helps enhance its reputation as a leading short-break destination.’

Brian Convery, Sales Development Manager at Steam Packet Holidays, added: ‘We decided to repeat the offer due to its popularity earlier this year, and it is proving to be equally, if not more successful this time around. Many people are choosing the Isle of Man as a short-break destination because of the variety of activities and events staged here throughout the year, and great value deals such as this in partnership with the Sefton Group help to boost the Island’s economy during the quieter periods.’
