Highest Mark For Audit And Assurance Paper Awarded to Moore Stephens Graduate Trainee

Moore Stephens Isle of Man, leading providers of multi-sector accountancy, consultancy and wealth management services, is pleased to announce that Christa Worth has won the Watts prize for achieving a staggering 95%, the highest mark worldwide for the Audit and Assurance paper. The International prize is accredited by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales with 1,209 sitting the exam in September.
 
“This is such a fantastic achievement – Christa should be extremely proud of herself,” said Dawn Webb, audit partner in Moore Stephens Isle of Man, “She is the first Manx student to win the Watts prize for a long time; I am really proud of what she has achieved. It is wonderful for Christa – she works very hard and deserves her success in every way.”
 
Christa, who is a graduate trainee, joined Moore Stephens Isle of Man in 2011 having gained a First Class BA Honours degree in Business Management at the Isle of Man Business School.
 
“I can’t believe I have won this incredible award – it was such a surprise; I honestly didn’t expect it,” said Christa, “I work hard because I enjoy what I do.  I have some great support around me at Moore Stephens which definitely helps when you are studying for exams.  I’m looking forward to becoming a fully qualified accountant.”
 
The Watts prize was established by the Women Chartered Accountants Dining Society in memory of Ethel Watts who was the first woman to be admitted to membership having successfully completed her professional examinations in 1924.
