Emerging Nomads win basement battle in Shield

Emerging Nomads recorded a Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield double over Castletown at King William’s College winning 19-3.

Ean Mousley and Jimmy Cubbon both crossed for Nomads’ tries with coach Casey Davies donning the boots to add a conversion.

In the other Manx Shield game, Western Vikings lost out 41-8 to Douglas B who now move into a clear second place in the standings.

Stand-in skipper Paul Wheeldon picked up Vikings’ only try with Mark Venables adding a penalty.
