Manx Independent Carriers have taken delivery of a further six new Ford Transit 300/115 delivery vans for their Isle of Man parcels service, an investment of some £90,000. The vehicles were supplied locally by the 4WD and Van Centre and bring the parcel van fleet to 22. This gives total coverage of the entire Island on a daily basis - a service which is not matched by any competitors.

All drivers are equipped with the latest Motorola MC75A hand held parcel scanner which gives unrivalled "proof of delivery" information and tracking in real time with the results viewable on clients websites within minutes of the delivery being completed.

The latest Ford Transits are the front wheel drive version which provide a lower load floor for easier loading and unloading, larger loadspace, better fuel economy and payload than equivalent rear-wheel-drive (RWD) models and they are the ideal choice for multi-drop delivery applications.

The Manx parcel delivery fleet is the largest and most up to date of any Isle of Man operator.
