Charity to host children’s Christmas party

by isleofman.com 7th November 2012

Diabetic youngsters will be bowled over during the festive season thanks to the Manx Diabetic Group.

Children with the condition and their families are being encouraged to join the party on Saturday January 5 at Sure Strike Bowling in Ramsey.

The Christmas event is free to diabetic children, their siblings and immediate family, with extended family members able to purchase tickets at a subsidised rate.

Organiser Paul Clarke said: ‘We wanted to provide an event that would suit diabetic youngsters of all ages and think we have picked a winner. We have hired the whole bowl and there will be two games of bowling in moonlight conditions with hot mince pies, a disco with a DJ and food. There will be medals for the first, second and third placed highest scoring girl and boy.

‘However, numbers are limited and I would appeal to families to get in touch with me as soon as possible to secure tickets.’

To obtain tickets and find out more about the event contact Paul Clarke on 829295/231133 or email paukerlove@manx.net.

The party starts at 6.30pm.
