Mountain Road to close for repairs

by isleofman.com 7th November 2012

The mountain road will be closed for two days next week for essential repairs before winter.

The route will be shut between 9.30am and 4.30pm next Monday and Tuesday (12 and 13th), with an option to close later in the week if bad weather stops the work being completed.

Road teams from Department of Infrastructure will rebuild a parapet wall on the Mountain Mile, clean out ditches and patch-up potholes.

The DoI says the safest way to protect its men and vehicles is to close the road.
