Inflation rise - Treasury Minister 'not complacent but not concerned'

by isleofman.com 6th November 2012

Not complacent, but not unduly concerned.

That's Treasury Minister Eddie Teare's response to news that inflation in the Isle of Man has risen for the second consecutive month.

The retail prices rose to 3.1 per cent in October, up from 2.8 in September, with the RPI annual rate also going up to 2.5 per cent.

Mr Teare says he doesn't expect it to keep on rising - although he admits it's not easy to predict what will happen over the next couple of months.
