Protecting the vulnerable; ensuring fairness and rebalancing rights and responsibilities.

Those are the three fundamental principles which social care chiefs say need to be followed as they consider a major overhaul of the Island’s social policy.

They have published the responses to a consultation to reform policy and ensure scarce public resources are directed at those in the greatest need of support.

Minister Chris Robertshaw says his department will always try and help people to help themselves.
