No timetable for act's introduction, says chief minister

Chief Minister Allan Bell says he can’t give a timetable for the Disability Discrimination Act to be brought in as law.

Today in the House of Keys he faced questions about the progress of the new laws from South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft.

Mr Bell explained arms of government were working to improve government buildings and facilities – but admitted there was no deadline to introduce the law.

And under questioning by Onchan MHK Peter Karran, Mr Bell denied promises to bring in the legislation had been broken:
