MHK's doubts over abattoir clearance

by isleofman.com 22nd October 2012

Onchan MHK David Quirk says he still has reservations about a scheme to demolish and clear a former abattoir on Department of Infrastructure land in Tromode.

This week, Tynwald approve spending ?178,000 on the project.

Mr Quirk says he suspects the land will eventually be used to house a depot – although that’s been denied by the department.

He says he still has issues with the project even though it’s now been given the go-ahead.
