Man charged over Pc graffiti

by isleofman.com 22nd October 2012

A 33-year-old man from the south of the Island has been charged in connection with some offensive graffiti which was painted on the garage door of a Castletown home.

The message - which praised the man charged with murdering Pcs Fiona Bone and Nicola Hughes on Tameside in Greater Manchester last month - was daubed on the door in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Fiona went to school in the Isle of Man and has friends and family here.

Acting Detective Inspector Steve Maddocks says he would like to thank the public for their assistance so far in the matter, but adds if anyone has any further information they should contact the police on 631212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The man is due to appear in court this afternoon to face a charge of criminal damage.
