Children wanting music tuition above and beyond the legal minimum that has to be provided by schools will now be charged for it.
The decision was taken by Tynwald today after Education Minister Tim Crookall explained there was a choice between scrapping the service or having parents stump up cash for it.
But Middle MHK Howard Quayle’s question about whether all the implications had been considered sparked a heated exchange.
