Sewage views will be sought, says Cregeen

Water Authority chairman Graham Cregeen MHK says Peel will have its say about a new sewage treatment plant planned for the town.

During Tynwald questions today, he faced a grilling from Onchan MHK Peter Karran about the scheme, as well as the Meary Veg sewage works.

In particular, Mr Karran wanted to know if fish processors and other businesses nearby in the town had been asked for their opinion on the plans.

Mr Cregeen said they’re still in their early stages – but the town would get the chance to comment:
