It's the first day of the new legislative year for Tynwald, and they're going to be tackling some of the most talked about subjects of the moment.

From buses and boundaries to planes and public service broadcasting, members will spend at least two days in court this month after their summer recess.

It's the longest order paper since the start of this parliament a year ago.

14 questions for oral answer will get the Tynwald ball rolling, with four of them from Middle MHK Howard Quayle who has queries about the bus driver dispute, the recently arranged secondment of a top government civil servant to sark and the segregation of pre-school pupils.

The MGP, Steam Packet User Agreement and the state of our financial reserves also feature. The main order paper will start with a statement from Chief Minister Allan Bell about the Government's priorities, where we expect a restatement of the need to be realistic in the current financial situation.

More than three million pounds will be sought for various works and schemes, more than 20 reports will be laid before the court and towards the end of the sitting members will revisit the subject of end of life health care before deciding if the Open Skies policy should be re-examined and finally Manx Radio itself will be debated as Tynwald makes up its mind again about its commitment to public service broadcasting.

Tynwald will be broadcast live on Manx Radio's AM 1368 from 10.30 this morning.
