MHK hopeful over treatment work plans

Peel MHK Tim Crookall says he’s hopeful new plans for a sewage treatment works in the town won’t be as controversial as previous proposals.

Commissioners have met Mr Crookall and Water Authority officials to discuss proposals, which are still in their early stages.

An environmental impact study is to be carried out as the authority considers another open plant design, although the new building might not now be connected to St John’s.

Mr Crookall says dialogue will continue and the public will eventually have their say:
