The government says the Department of Economic Development has a new director of financial services.
John Spellman is taking over the role with immediate effect.
Mr Spellman has worked with the department for a number of years as a special advisor and is a former managing director of Clerical Medical International and HBOS Financial Services.
He is a qualified banker and accountant and a former head of Isle of Man Finance in the Treasury.
