Reward offered to catch car vandals

Police say a reward of up to ?1,000 is being offered to catch those behind a trail of destruction in the south yesterday.

Vandals drove around Port Erin and Castletown and sprayed around 60 vehicles with paint stripper – leaving a total repair bill of around ?48,000.

The damage was caused yesterday afternoon and early evening and Sergeant Gary Heaton from the Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team is appealing for witnesses to come forward.

He says it’s one of the largest criminal damage investigations ever seen on the Island:
