Were your days at Ashley Hill Primary School the happiest of your life?

by isleofman.com 4th October 2012

Ashley Hill Primary School was officially opened on 9th November 1972, so the school will be 40 years old next month.

They are having a birthday event to look at the passing decades, and to celebrate school events in the past.

They want your memories!

If you have any photographs of your time at Ashley Hill during the last four decades, they would love to see them.  They promise to look after them carefully.  A display will be put on in their hall during the birthday week.

The children at school are finding out about life in different decades.  If you were a pupil either in our first cohort, or in the 70s, 80s or 90s, they would like to invite you to share your memories with them on the day they celebrate.

They would also like to offer you the opportunity to visit school during the birthday week, to look at their work and old photos, and to sit down and reminisce with the 21st Century children.  Former staff of Ashley Hill School will also be welcome to attend the event and share their memories.

If you would like an invitation to the celebrations at 2pm on 7th November, please telephone Mrs Linda Smith, Headteacher on 622104 or email enquiries@ashleyhill.sch.im.
