Roadworks concern among Onchan business owners

There's growing concern among Onchan business owners over the disruption caused by roadworks to their custom.

Some shop owners in the village say they've lost around half their regular trade due to the closure of Main Road.

The Department of Infrastructure scheme to replace pavements and install new traffic lights means all traffic being diverted around the village.

Works are due to continue for five weeks, and shop-keepers say in the run-up to Christmas the loss of passing trade could be a disaster:
