Tower turns pink for Breakthrough Breast Cancer

The Tower of Refuge will be turning pink tonight to mark the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The landmark in Douglas Bay will be illuminated in the pink hues throughout October.

Department of Infrastructure staff are also dressing in pink to raise funds in a dress-down day.

Breakthrough Breast Cancer is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

Chairman Angie Aire says despite big advances in breast care in the Island, they must continue driving home the message to women: checking your breasts could save your life:
