Nomads through to Cheshire Plate Final

by isleofman.com 29th September 2012

PDMS Southern Nomads made it into their second consecutive Cheshire Plate Final when they beat Parkonians 30-10 away on Merseyside.

Two early penalties from Mark Young got Nomads off to a solid start and when Young converted Gerard Landels’ try, Nomads led 13-0 at half-time.

In the second half, playing into the wind, Parkonians came back with two tries but Nomads pulled clear when Landels completed his hat-trick and there were further tries from Steve McHugh and Young.

Nomads will have to wait until late December to discover the identity of their opponents when the other semi-final between Wallasey and Ellesmere Port is played.
