It's the big tidy up!

by isleofman.com 29th September 2012

An Island wide clean-up campaign is taking place this weekend.

The Big Tidy Up is now in its fourth year and has blossomed from being a Douglas Corporation initiative, to an all Island litter collection.

From beaches and glens, to towns and schools - the Manx people will be donning rubber gloves and carrying rubbish bags to make the Island a tidier and more beautiful place.

On Saturday, Beach Buddies will be tidying up the coast at the Point of Ayre, but the collection efforts began on Friday at schools.

Children at Fairfield School in Douglas were shocked about the kind of things they picked up from the streets just outside their school.
