Friends of Manx National Heritage and York Archaeological Trust sign reciprocal agreement

Friends of Manx National Heritage (FMNH) and York Archaeological Trust are delighted to announce that they have signed a reciprocal agreement which will benefit members of both organisations. 

 

Members of FMNH who are resident in the Isle of Man will be able to use their membership cards at any of York Archaeological Trusts historic sites. York Archaeological Trust members will be able to use theirs at Manx National Heritage sites in the Isle of Man. 

 

York Archaeological Trust’s Valhalla exhibition, which runs until the 4th November 2012, will be displaying artefacts from excavations in York and the Isle of Man.

 

Nicola Pemberton, Admin & Development Officer of FMNH said: “I am delighted to announce this reciprocal agreement particularly as Manx National Heritage and York Archaeological Trust have been working so closely together.  FMNH members will certainly enjoy visiting the sites in York.  Manx National Heritage will be very happy to welcome York Archaeological Trust members to the Isle of Man.  Manx2 have kindly offered FMNH members an exclusive discount on flights to Leeds Bradford.  Contact Nicola for further details”.

 

Sarah Maltby, Archaeological Trust Director of Attractions, said:  “This agreement between Manx National Heritage and York Archaeological Trust is hopefully the first step towards a long and fruitful relationship. Our regions have very much in common historically and we hope that members of both membership organisations enjoying exploring their shared heritage.”
