Gambling regulators strike Maltese connection

by isleofman.com 25th September 2012

The Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission has formed an agreement with counterparts in Malta, to improve information sharing between the jurisdictions.

The co operation agreement with the Malta Lotteries and Gaming Authority to improve standards of regulation, is described as having consumer protection and sound public order at its core.

Both organisations have pledged to use their new partnership to tackle problems in the industry, such as addiction.

The connection between the Manx and Matlese gambling authorities follows the formation of a similar agreement the Isle of Man made with Denmark last year.
