UNITE defends bus negotiations

Another ballot of bus drivers is due to take place later this week, after a deal was struck between the Unite union and the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure yesterday afternoon.

It's the latest attempt to resolve the row over the DCCL wanting to end the drivers' entitlement to a paid lunch break.

The deal which has been agreed to has effectively been one of those available for the last couple of months.
