by isleofman.com 21st September 2012

Vehicle drivers and their passengers on Friday evening's Heysham to Douglas sailing were left frustrated after a problem with the linkspan in Douglas Harbour delayed their disembarkation by nearly an hour.

The Ben-my-Chree arrived in the harbour at 17.55, according to the Packet's website, but people who contacted Manx Radio said the didn't drive their vehicles off until around 18.50.

Foot passengers were able to leave the vessel as normal and on time.
