Warning after Twitter hacks

Watch the links you’re clicking on online!

That’s the message this morning after two government Twitter accounts were targeted by hackers.

Both the main government account and the Manx Electricity Authority were sending suspicious direct messages to followers with links to a Facebook page and Twitter video.


The accounts are now back to normal and under the control of their proper owners.

Owen, a Senior Consultant at Manx-based IT firm Intelligence, says it’s a common problem on the social networking site:
